Melissa J. Boutwell is no stranger to home purchases and sales. Having relocated several times for her Husband’s career, she has a solid knowledge of what it takes to purchase and sell that home you have built over time. Recently relocating to the Columbia area of South Carolina, she got a great overview of the area, while looking for that one special property to purchase with her husband of 36 years. Having lived in Tennessee and Florida, she has vast experience of different climates, and communities. She is well versed in understanding the power of finding that “one, forever type home”. Having lived on large tracks of land over the last 28 years, she has an innate ability to understand all wants and needs in property attributes. 

Melissa has spent the last ten plus years working as a tax professional, before acquiring her real estate license. She has tenaciously worked for her client’s best interest in filing their taxes each year. Receiving many accolades from client’s year over year. This provides her with additional knowledge of the dos and don’ts of tax applications in property transactions. Her dedication, strong work ethic, outstanding customer service skills and tenacity set her apart from the crowd. She has the innate ability to understand what you are looking for in a new home and understands how important it is to you. 

Melissa is a mother of three wonderful children and two grandchildren. She has always given back to her communities. Through many volunteer hours, either at her churches, (Church Secretary) her children’s school programs or assisting her husband in his career. 

Her faith and strong family foundations have molded her into the person she is. Her passion to help others is what drives her to do the best she can for others. “I am honored to server others and find that one property that fits all their wants and needs, especially if it is that special forever home”.
